ACME Locksmith offers three locksmith "courses" to cover various skills used by locksmiths. Since we teach 1:1, we offer a flexible 4-hr per day schedule to meet your needs. As soon as you complete your background checks, just pick a start date that works for you. Please note: We are not a school or vocational training center. Our focus is to teach you subset of locksmith skills in a functioning locksmith environment, until you're confident you know them. How you apply this knowledge is up to the individual.

 

All of our Arizona locksmith courses are performed in one of our four locksmith shops in the Phoenix-Metro area.

Maintenane locksmith training for budling maintenance crews

Realtor / Handyman / Maintenance

Who Needs This Course?

 

Realtors and maintenance staff looking for basic residential or commercial key and door hardware skills.

Length of Course:

 

20 hours, 1 Week Course, 4 Hours per Day

Application Fee

 

This course does not teach entry methods so no application fee is required.

 

Skills Taught

 

  • Rekeying deadbolts, levers, and knobs

  • Repair of door hardware (knobs / levers / deadbolts)

  • Swapping out door hardware

  • Drilling and/or replacing mailbox locks

 

Course Modification

 

Modification of this course is possible based on your specific needs and can be discussed and outlined thoroughly prior to starting the course. For example: commercial vs residential locks, etc....

 

If any of the course modifications allow for lock bypassing (lock picking, lock bumping, lock drilling, etc...),  a course applicationnfee will be needed to cover a background check and drug screening.

Training on rekeying, installing residential locks

Residential Lockmith Course

Who Should Take This Training?

 

This category teaches you some of the basic residential skills used by locksmiths. It is our recommended course for those wishing to entry the locksmith industry as residential locksmithing is typically were you start your career.

 

Length of Course:


32 hourse, 8 Day Course: 4 Hours per Day

 

Application Fee

 

This course teaches lock bypassing methods ,and, as such, will require an application fee to cover a background check and drug screening.

 

Supplies Provided

 

Training includes a basic pinning kit and entry level set of lock pics.

 

Skills Taught

 

  • Rekeying deadbolts, levers, and knobs

  • Lock bumping

  • Lock picking

  • Lock repair

  • Lock bumping prevention

  • Electronic lock operation

  • Swapping out door hardware

  • Lock drilling (cam locks, mailbox locks and residential locks)

  • Making keys by impressioning and by code

  • Safes:

  • Change safe combination

Training on cutting and programming auto keys

Automotive locksmith training

Who Needs This Course? 

 

This category teaches many of the basic skills used by automotive locksmiths. It is ideal for existing locksmiths looking to add auto skills to their current knowledge, car mechanics looking to add car key programming / replacing to their services.


Length of Course:

 

28 hours, 7 Day Course: 4 Hours per Day
 

Application Fee

 

This course teached key origination for vehicles ,and, as such, will require an application fee to cover a background check and drug screening.

  • Key cutting standard key
  • Key cutting laser key (duplication)
  • Key programming
  • Remote programming
  • Key origination standard key
  • Ignition repair (out of vehicle)
  • Ignition rekey (out of vehicle)
  • Getting key cutting codes and cutting keys by codes
  • Discussion of automotive equipment and software
